Evelia & Rafael opened the hotel in 1995 with only 5 rooms. They now have 23 rooms. They added the in-ground pool & children's splash pool in July 2002.They now run the hotel with the help of their children. Their history and that of the creation of the hotel was featured in The Kingston Whig-Standard Forum (Spano, Lisa, December 27, 2002).
